Most full grooms take one to two hours. A small short-coated dog can be quicker; a large or heavily matted coat takes longer. We will give you a clearer estimate once we know the breed and coat condition.

It depends far more on coat type than on breed size. Long and curly coats usually need attention more often than short ones, and double coats need regular de-shedding rather than cutting. Tell us the breed and we will suggest a realistic routine.

Often yes — removing the car journey and the unfamiliar room takes a lot of the pressure off. Please tell us before the appointment how your dog reacts to handling, especially around paws and ears, so we can go at the right pace and stop when we need to.

Let us know when you book. Light matting can usually be brushed out. Heavy matting is uncomfortable to work through and sometimes the kindest option is a shorter clip rather than hours of pulling. We will talk it through with you before we start.

Yes. The van is set up for small, medium and large dogs. If your dog is very large or needs two people to handle comfortably, mention it when booking so we can plan the slot properly.

A parking space near your entrance, and someone to hand the dog over and collect them afterwards. Everything else — water, power, shampoo, dryers, tools — travels with the van.
